I have been working at TD full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Strong company with a great culture! Branch banking provides you with an invaluable introduction to accounting concepts and banking operations. They provide very generous PTO, including 16 weeks paid paternity/maternity leave with job security. Overall, the pay seems to be better than many local equivalents for comparable positions. Management in my region has been very responsive to HR issues, staffing problems, and...

    Cons

Branch banking can get very tedious. Needless to say, a customer facing role definitely has its down sides. Sales culture ebbs and flows between aggressive and relaxed. Confidence is a branch bankers greatest asset; someone who lacks in confidence will do poorly.

    Advice to Management

Create remote options for back office roles.

I worked at TD full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Management is generally professional and nice. There is not a culture of everyone looking out for himself/herself. The environment is collaborative, and I typically enjoyed working with all of my colleagues. The PTO is generous, and the benefits are good. There are opportunities to move within the organization; this is not an up or out culture.

    Cons

The culture of collaboration can sometimes make it difficult to move forward; if everyone doesn't agree, initiatives can be delayed. Also, technology is an area of opportunity. Systems are old and cumbersome.
