I worked at TD part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The training program is top-notch. There are many opportunities for growth and promotions if you go through certain programs offered. Also, part-timers get health benefits and paid time off as well.

    Cons

There are many strict policies monoriting dress code, cell phone use (none allowed in the building), requesting for time off, etc.

I have been working at TD full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    It was a remote position.

    Cons

No advancement opportunities with suppression of an underwritier's skills. Pay was not comparable to the skills level, but were forced to work excessive hours without overtime pay.

    Advice to Management

Treat Underwriter's with respect for the experience (s)he brings to the company. Pay them for the skills (s)he brings to the company because that is how you retain the best of the best. They are not your loan processors. Every loan should not have to go to the top!
