No opinion of CEO

I worked at TE Connectivity full-time (More than 10 years)

Pros

Good people, professional, team oriented

Cons

Not as stable as the original AMP company was. More reactionary with layoffs rather than finding alternate solutions to keeping the experienced and talented people. Continuous outsourcing and moving to foreign countries.

Advice to Management

Consider solutions other than regular reorgs/layoffs to keep people confident, focused, and secure. Could implement salary freezes or temporary reductions to get through hard economic times and be better prepared with a good staff when things pick back up.

I worked at TE Connectivity full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Those who do the work are great people. Good benefits. Effort to improve building facilities and extra benefits is a nice improvement.

    Cons

Poor morale. Self management is taken too far, supervisors seem only to be rubber stamping employee progress or lack there of. Disconnect between upper management and the middle management. Constant re-organization.

    Advice to Management

Where are you taking this company? There is no chance to allow any re-organization to take hold and prove worth before another re-org happens. Message from top is lost in the trickle down effect through too many managerial layers.

I worked at TE Connectivity as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

The people are friendly and really know their stuff. They are always ready to help you out in your projects. It is easy to collaborate between teams too.

All interns get real projects to work on. No paper copying, bring me coffee type of a job. They also have plenty of social events for interns to network with the management and talk to people across different business units.

    Cons

It is a very laid back culture. In the sense, there is always a tomorrow to finish the job. So it might be a bit frustrating at times.
