Pros

Allows for working from home and the benefits are pretty good. The employee stock purchase plan is really quite great.

Cons

Very low salary compared to industry averages. Many managers tell the employees that there is a priority to make things better and survey the team to find out what's wrong, but nothing ever really changes year after year.

    Pros

    TELUS is a big company with lots of opportunities for advancements and changes. There is a constant stream of internal postings.

    Cons

    A lot of people are too focused on what they do and they lose sight of the bigger picture... helping other people out doesn't come naturally.

    Advice to Management

    I strongly disagree with the performance review process. Employees should play a much bigger part in the discussion. Also, the scoring system is flawed in my opinion, especially the "retention risk" part of the calculation.
