I worked at TIAA as a contractor (More than 8 years)

Pros

TIAA-CREF hires a lot of great people, with a real emphasis on diversity. Politics, at least at the worker-bee level, is non existent.

Cons

I spent eight years at TIAA-CREF as a contractor/contingent worker with the carrot of a Full-Time permanent job constantly being dangled in front of me. I got laid off with no severance or retirement account, and not so much as a thank you.

I worked at TIAA full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Use to be a good place to work 5 years ago, now terrible.

    Cons

Totally abusive work environment. Mass exit happening at Denver location. Use to be good 5 years ago, now awful.

    Advice to Management

Bullying is not a talent. Emotional intelligence of management is that of an 8 year old.
