I have been working at TIC - The Industrial Company full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Advancement Opportunities! The company is expanding and expects to double in size in the next 10 years. Kiewit Benefits Package. Stock ownership program.

    Cons

Company is owned by Kiewit. Kiewit makes money on the backs of their people and TIC is vulnerable to do the same the longer they are teamed up together.

The company overall is a little antiquated and HR needs some serious help. HR for this company is TERRIBLE!!!

Many people say this is a family company and has that feel when working for them. That is not a reason to work here. It must have been like that as early as 2008. It's not like that anymore. TIC is very corporate and I imagine it will continue to keep going in that direction as long as Kiewit is involved with the company.

Overtime! 50 Hrs a week minimum usually ends up being around 60 to 70 hrs a week. They do not compensate you for any overtime and will ask you to come in on weekends as well.

    High Turnover.

    Advice to Management

Want to increase your employee retention? Pay your field engineers and project engineers overtime. Give them a reason to stay. Other Company's Pay OT why can't you?
