No opinion of CEO

I have been working at TJ Maxx part-time (Less than a year)

Pros

Friendly co-workers, straight forward work assignments, decent rewards system.

Cons

Too much emphasis on credit cards for customers, poor scheduling, little to no official job training, no room for additional training in other departments, very few full time jobs available.

Advice to Management

Please be more willing to train good standing employees so that they can work in additional areas to reduce redundancy and better use people's skill sets.

I have been working at TJ Maxx part-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The work is easy. If you are a people person you will survive. I enjoy working in the back room unloading trucks.

    Cons

Empty promises. I have worked at TJ Maxx for 5 years and have been made promises that were not meet. I graduated from college 2 years ago with an associates in management. I was told that I would have an interview with the district manager for an assistant manager position. I am still waiting.

    Advice to Management

Stop hiring so many high school kids. The store appears to be thrift store like. If you want to boost sales you need to hire people who care about something other than boys. Better organization is a must. If people are gonna stand around and talk instead of doing their job send them out the door with a one way ticket.
