Pros

it is easy to get a lot of hours.

Cons

I frequently feel ill-equipped to handle rushes, and I don't have the resources to train other co-workers. I feel like if I want something done right, I have to do it myself. I don't know if I can depend on other employees, or depend on other co-workers to train new employees. There feels like there is no structure or foundation here. The owner does not pay me enough for what I do, and I never recieved a raise for being a team lead. The owner is constantly short circuited with his employees, I feel like he is a powder keg I have to tip toe around. The owner and the manager argue about who leads the restraunt. I do not feel like my owner, or manager appreciates me here, because communication is almost non-existent. I often over-exert myself here, because it is the only thing that gets us through rushes. I have heard of people being payed short on payday, because the owner was mad at them for x, y, and z.

Pros

So much experience. Worked endless hours, so made good money. Controlled everything and had so much freedom, despite being technically a corporate run.

Cons

No time off. Everything is your responsibility. Hiring, scheduling, ordering, payroll, maintenance, the list goes on. Then the obvious lack of respect for hard workers.
