Negative Outlook

I worked at Tam Brazilian Airlines full-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

Lots of opportunities with the merger, specially if you speak good Spanish. Company is moving towards professional management and trying to become world-class.

Cons

Razor-thin margins in the industry, which can affect bonuses heavily. It's on the wrong side of the merger, and its owners don't care anymore for leading the business. Control is being given away to the Chilenean families owners of LAN and majority owners of TAM now. Nothing wrong with them, but right now the company is in the middle of a major shake-up.

Advice to Management

Own up your share of the company direction. By giving away all control to the other party, the company may lose its key characteristics

    Pros

You will learn a lot and assume a lot of responsibilities in a short time. Everyone is really friendly and teh Rolim spirit still lives in the company.

    Cons

Disorganized, you will work too long hours and the departments within the company don't get along too well.

I worked at Tam Brazilian Airlines as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

If you like airplanes is perfect... you will be in contact with them all the time! Good visibility of promotions and off price to buy travel tickets.

    Cons

Terrible instalations, horrible rooms and furniture... complete disrepect with employees and it goes worst if you are a third party.
