    Pros

The company is a retail leader. In comparison to some of the other large chain stores, Target stands out because of the high standards every employee must follow. Managers are competent and everyone seems to be on the same page when dealing with truck shipments.

    Cons

Starting work at 4 am during the Christmas season in snow and ice does not make this the safest job. They also have large blackout dates where it is a pain to take time off for any reason at all.

    Advice to Management

The blackout dates are there for a reason, but management needs to be more willing to grant some time off. I am not from Spokane so I wanted to go home for a week after Christmas and it was like pulling teeth.

    Pros

Target is a place that thrives on good attitudes and buy in to the company. The company routinely hires new faces with different backgrounds and experiences. Your develop is based a lot on your perfomance. You can write your own ticket if you are able to react and respond to feedback.

    Cons

It can be a song and pony show sometimes. They have an idea of what they are looking for when promotions are available. There is a lot of gray area when it comes to promotions. Work life balance can be non-existent when new in role.

    Advice to Management

Be candid with feedback to give leaders an opportunity to respond accordingly. Recognize more at store level.
