    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

The pay compared to most retailers isn't bad. Minimum everyone received was 9.50 an hour. The employees are also fun to work with and generally everyone gets along. They are also fairly flexible with scheduling and time off especially if you attended school or took vacation. Also, if you're new to retail, target will give you a lot of much needed experience since you will do a lot of different tasks and even allow you to pick up shifts in various work centers.

    Cons

Many target employees are young, at least in NYC so conflicts tend to arise regularly between team members and even team leaders. They also give you a lot of work to do that sometimes are what team leaders or even etls are suppose to perform. Since there is no union, it's difficult to voice too negative of an opinion without some sort of backlash. Favoritism is also very rampant in this company and advancement is all about who likes you and who you are friends with.

    Advice to Management

Communicate! Etls and team leaders rarely communicated with one another making completing tasks difficult since you were pulled in many different directions. Also lead by example, not work by the do as I say not as I do mantra

    Pros

-very organized flow of paperwork, everything is documented
-management is friendly, REALLY push the "team" mentality
-competitions, prizes for performance keeps morale up
    -strict adherence to labor laws
-raises are fair and given based on evaluation of performance
-company LISTENS to employee feedback, willing to try new policies

    Cons

    - "time limit" on cash registers can actually slow cashiers down
-if you are a cashier, there is little room for advancement

    Advice to Management

get rid of the "60 second rule" on cash registers, or perhaps only keep it for the first 90 days.
