I worked at Target full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    - Reasonable employee discount.
    - You're given two 15-minute breaks, and one 30-minute break per shift. If your shift is longer than 7 hours. They always honor your right to a break.

    Cons

    - Often stayed several hours past scheduled time, because my supervisor didn't manage time effectively. I was given multiple projects, and not enough time to do them all.
    - As Presentation Team, my shifts started at 6am. I woke up at 4:40am every day, which is fine if you're a morning person. But I'm not. There were times where we didn't even need to be in at 6am, and they could have had us come in at 8, it made no sense.
    - You're not given the right tools to do your job, I can remember many times in which Flow Team took all of the PDA's (which are essential for our jobs). So we'd have to share one with a co-worker. Which is impossible when you're under a time constraint, and trying to set an aisle before the end of your shift.
    - The team leads hassled my supervisor to get us to push product, when our aisles weren't even set-up yet.
    - Team Leads think that they're royalty. They seem to forget the fact that they're managing a Target Store, not a major league baseball team.

    Advice to Management

Put yourself in the shoes of your employees, stop doing things to keep corporate happy. Give flow-team and presentation team enough time to complete their tasks in a detailed and timely manner.
