I worked at Target full-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

Attractive work environment. Great benefits and merchandise discounts. 40-hour week with no OT.

Cons

40-hour week with no OT -results in cramming 60 hours of work into 40 hours. Not able to leave desk for extended periods of time. Required to work Black Friday (cannot take vacation days) - so no long weekends.

Advice to Management

Position should not be hourly. Bachelor's degree should be required.

    Pros

Co workers are friendly, fast pace, fun at times, day goes by quickly.

    Cons

I can go on and on about this.. basically, the team leads are lazy, they're hypocrites, treat team members like crap and same thing goes for the LOD's and ETL's. There are some nice ones that are understanding but that's only about 2 or 3 of them. You'll get coached many times by TL's and LOD's for stupid things such as talking to another team member that is from a different department, taking a 20 minute break instead of a 15, spending too much time with guests, and working too slow. The pay is also ridiculous, 8.25?? and the LOD's get payed 52,000 a year?! THE TEAM MEMBERS DO SOO MUCH MORE THAN THE LOD'S.. we should be getting payed 52,000 a year. Everybody is also 2-faced.. everybody..

    Advice to Management

To the LOD's and ETL's; Interact more with your team members; get to know them, train TL's a lot better because they dont do their job, actually help out on the floor (do some reshop and pulls) and help with the zone at night! DON'T COMPLAIN THAT THE ZONE DIDN'T GET DONE BECUASE ALL YOU GUYS DID WAS SIT IN YOUR LITTLE OFFICE AND DO NOTHING. Actually get on the floor and help your team out. that is all :)
