I worked at Target full-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

-Pay
-Bonus
-Leadership development
-Room for growth
-Great people to work with

Cons

-Payroll in stores
-Long hours if salary
-Anonymous survey system is not fair

Advice to Management

Not everything is black and white. Real people work for the company. I felt as though Target lost a lot of great talent quickly and brought in cheap leadership. Make sure you don't care too much about the price of the stock and care more about your people.

I have been working at Target part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

discount, team environment and always food in break room lol.

    Cons

starting pay and hours after holidays.

    Pros

Co-workers were awesome to work with. You meet some interesting people if your out on the sales floor.

    Cons

    1. When I first applied, they didn't bother calling me back based on what I put for my availability. (It was a good thing I called them back, so that we could discuss that and work something out.)

    2. Where most companies have some kind of system in place to address issues with their employees, regarding performance etc (ex; a meeting with supervisors, write-ups, etc), before resorting to terminating the employee, this particular store (I don't know what the company policy says) will fire you on the spot.

    Advice to Management

Work on becoming leaders as opposed to just being managers. In other words, work with the employees; don't just work the employees.
