I worked at Target full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The pay was good, especially for being a recent college grad. It was convenient to work at a Target store because I shopped there often too.

    Cons

My training never included in-depth financial analysis, which is very important to a store's success. The culture is very corporate - lots of acronyms, training programs, and evaluations. I didn't particularly care for the industry (mass retail) or for the job, so I left to pursue other opportunities.

    Advice to Management

Make sure the management teams (of stores, districts, etc.) work together well. Reward the hourly employees for a job well done and give them benefits if they work 30+ hrs a week.
