I have been working at Target part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The other Team Members are really great and helpful.

    It's a job.

    The 10% discount is OK.

Repetitive tasks, simple enough to do even when hung over.

    Cons

    Little to no training.

Pay is not a livable wage unless you take every available shift off the swap shift board and even then it's not enough.

LOD and ETLs are more worried about REDcards and staying in the "green" than they are about Team Members welfare.

Had to skip 15 minute break on multiple occasion to keep up with work load.

Closing team is usually only five people even though there's plenty of employees.

LODs don't seem to understand that keeping zones neat is nearly impossible with "guests" coming through and destroying them every few seconds.

"Guests" can be very rude, especially during closing.

Constantly having to cover LOD's zone because they stand around Guest Services or hide upstairs.

    Advice to Management

Take a day or two to actually train employees and make sure there's enough people working each shift (two people doing hard lines is not enough). Higher starting wages or better pay raises.
