I worked at Target part-time (More than 10 years)

Pros

The coworkers are amazing. i worked there for 10 years.

Cons

11 p.m. can get old after years. Also when you have worked for them for 10 years and still work every weekend it can get old.

Advice to Management

I think that you need to realize that the people below you make some great suggestions that you tend to overlook because its not brand.

I have been working at Target part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Fairly chill place to work. I guess all depending on the management of each individual store. Mine is okay, but I've heard horror stories from other locations.

    Cons

Nothing too difficult. Just extremely unfulfilling work. It's retail. It just wears on your soul after long enough. They like to hire externally. All but one of my exec positions at my store were outside hires. Moving up is a long and stagnant process, requiring someone who is overqualified for management far too long to advance. All execs bother you to do is push push push Redcards. Bug the customers as much as possible until they give in.

    Advice to Management

Don't hold your workers past their scheduled shifts, especially at night. I know it's retail, but giving someone 25 hours one week, then 8 the next is just ridiculous. Learn to ask how those below you's lives are going every now and again. At least give the impression that you care.

    Pros

I loved the people I worked with! They were fun and very nice. The job wasn't hard either

    Cons

Really crappy hours. Made me work alone a lot.

    Advice to Management

Let people work together more! It makes the day go faster and it makes the job more enjoyable.
