I worked at Target part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Team members friendly, customer-centric service

    Cons

Front line staff diverse from an age perspective but leadership is young and lacks experience to effectively manage staff. Constant focus on making short-term corporate "numbers" with lack of medium or long-term planning. Few managers are concerned about needs of long-term team members.

    Advice to Management

Spend more time at local stores rather than two hour visits. Enhance leadership education to provide more staff development training. Focus on internal promotion of seasoned leaders rather than hiring young managers directly out of college.
