I worked at Target full-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

Many different departments to try and gain experience.

Cons

Corporate doesn't care about their employees work life, only the stores sales.

Advice to Management

Say "thank you" once in a while. A little acknowledgement goes a long way.

    Pros

The people that I work with are great, they really care and help you anyways that they can

    Cons

The work to pay ratio is extremely off balance! It's ridiculous the amount of physical work they expect for the little pay they give. .25 over minimum wage, very sad!

    Advice to Management

You should work harder to hold on to the people that work hard and give a darn. The best way to keep people, pay them what they are worth!

    Pros

Flexibility in scheduling. Decent discount. Fast pace work environment. Dental coverage and eye insurance. It could be worse it could be Walmart.

    Cons

Its a 20/40/60 company. Twenty years in, over forty years old or making more than sixty thousand a year and you're out. Corporate screws up and it becomes a game of survivor to see who doesn't lose their job. The pay is horrible. Being treated as cattle by management would be an upgrade.

    Advice to Management

Pay your staff like they're human beings who have families. Walmart rightfully is criticized for how many employees survive on food stamps. But my guess is as a percentage of overall employees Target would be neck and neck with them. Loyalty means nothing to management so when you leave leave them hanging. They talk a good game but the numbers don't lie. Unlike Management.
