I worked at Target part-time (More than 5 years)

Pros

The motto for Team Members is "Fast, Fun, and Friendly". I found the culture to be exactly that. I worked ther for 7 years and found pay to be fair for the work performed. Flexible and fair scheduling. They also understand that your job is not your whole life.

Cons

Advancement oppurtunities were not openly communicated. They seem to keep you where they want you, and promote those they want to promote. Unfortunately I seemed unable to transform my time at Target from part time cashier into a real full time career.

Advice to Management

Post advancement oppurtunities in TSC (Team Service Center, aka breakroom), or post where and how internal oppurtunities can be pursued.

"Interesting but they showed that there is still prejudice when it comes to assigning hours to workers."

I worked at Target full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

You can look at clothes and see sales before the general public

    Cons

They demand more than what they pay you for and the supervisors give hours to their favorites no matter how long you have been working there.

    Advice to Management

Be fair and equal when distributing the hours to workers, it is not fair that someone who has been working there for 2 years gets less hours than someone who came 2 months ago.

    Pros

All the people you got to meet and Interact with.

    Cons

There was no strong communication between supervisor and employees.

    Advice to Management

Start treating everyone equally and giving everyone an equal chance for hours, not just giving them to just two people
