    The salaries are fair, and they allow for telecommuting and flexible work options. This is immensely helpful for those in TTS, for example, who don't live near the north campus. They are also highly collaborative, and promote coffee status meetings away from the office.     Target does not reward based on performance. People are promoted through masterful socializing and playing favorites. I have seen a lot of exceptional team members walk out the door because of what has been termed the 'turn and burn'.
