    Approves of CEO

    Pros

Target has an excellent compensation package that rivals other retail companies.

    Cons

Difficult to have a decent work-life balance. You work different shifts throughout the week, every other weekend, 50hrs is a mandatory work week, and there is no overtime.

    Advice to Management

Target leadership is very demanding, and expects for their managers to preform at all times. If you cannot perform to Target's standards, don't waste your time, nor theirs. If you feel that you have the ability to be an excellent manager, drive profitability, help those around you excel, and work a retail schedule then Target could be the company for you. If you are able to do the previously mentioned you could have an excellent career with Target.

    Approves of CEO

    Pros

They have a great benefits package to be a retailer and really try to make Target a fun place to work.

    Cons

Most headquarter employees are from the area of Minnesota or the Midwest where there is a lack of exposure to diversity which makes it difficult for diverse candidates to move up in the company and acclimate to the culture.

    Advice to Management

You will need to infiltrate the minds and behavior of management if you wish to change the perspective towards diversity and being accepting of diverse employees (whether the employees are transplants, of a minority race or based on sexuality).
