Pros

you can really meet some cool ppl. i for example have made some pretty good friends over the last couple of years.

Cons

everyone is trying to suck up to management at all times and that's what headquarters is looking for...people who are suck ups

Advice to Management

trust that your team members know what they are doing better than you probably do. this goes especially for the etl's. not so much team leads at least at my store.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Disapproves of CEO

    Pros

Great company if you fit the culture and want to be in retail

Good to start out of school for some professional experience

    Cons

Very poor work life balance, and not afraid to push people out rather quickly if personalities or culture are not a good fit.

Very inconsistent treatment, culture, and experience from different teams and divisions.

All too often it's who you know not what you know

Too many opinions of upper level management that stiffle creativity, innovation, and empowerment of employees

Culture is not a good fit for many people and they ultimately quit, are forced to quit, or are discharged.

Target is not diversified - many people are from the same colleges with zero international or diverse types of backgrounds

    Advice to Management

Consider re-evaluating some upper level management positions and asking for more timely feedback from employees

Be more realistic when recruiting out of schools and selling college grads on the company - the career path that was explained during recruiting works for maybe 5% of people and is not realistic.
