Software company with fantastic culture and customer relations
Software EngineerCurrent Employee, more than 1 yearColumbus, OHPros
Engineering is split into small teams where each person plays a vital role. Great mentoring between junior devs and their team members. Allows for rapid growth. Fun work environment. Nerf wars are not uncommon. Bagels provided weekly. Office snacks and coffee available daily. Monthly pizza party where our stand performances are recognized and awards given.
Cons
Technology stack is aging. One team works with Angular but most of the solution is VB.net. With rapid growth it is harder to know everyone as personally as once was possible.

Cons
Not necessarily a con, but as the company is experiencing tremendous growth things can get very busy which is something that every organization goes through.

Pros
Some great skills that can take you in your career. A place to network and be a part of some new innovative ideas. Culture and Sr leadership are really good, and want to make it a good place to work. It has a small company vibe and flexible to work with your day to day.
Cons
It’s a remote first company and can feel siloed. Still living in a Covid setup with vaccination requirements for in person meetings. That may change in time like many other things from 2020. The dept management style is not one of helping you obtain or start a career path, but one of get your work done and keep doing what you’re doing. Minimal direction on that front unfortunately. That comes from lack of leadership experience. Can feel overwhelming from the work and hard to disconnect.
