Pros
The employees are kind, generous, smart, and competent. The people are definitely the shining star of the company, esp for a remote culture. The best HR department I’ve ever worked with, too. They genuinely care about their employees here, from what I’ve seen. Anybody that was recently laid off was offered additional help finding new roles and the remaining employees really tried to help out with references and recommendations on LinkedIn. That’s a good sign of good people. I watched a lot of people get promoted from within, more than any other company I’ve seen. Also, the pay and benefits are excellent.
Cons
Standard startup growing pains but lots (I mean LOTS) of turnover. I was there less than a year but have never seen so much turnover at a company in my career. It might be because of the sluggish economy, but a lot of people chose to leave on their own accord too. I wasn’t involved enough in the top-level of things to get a grasp on the company’s inner shortcomings or challenges, so I can’t speak to *why* people left so much.
