I worked at Teavana part-time (Less than a year)

Pros

The enviroment is fast paced so you learn alot and they want you to move up!

Cons

The management was not understanding of my work schedule and would schedule me when I told them I could only work a certain amount of hours.

Advice to Management

You need to have your managers understand that some employees cannot work certain hours or over a certain amount! A lot of the employees are college students!

I worked at Teavana full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

free tea while you work, and while you're not depending on your manager. easy promotions, nice discount on all items in the store. paid training trip

    Cons

poor, poor POOR management. tea is overpriced with LITERALLY a 250% mark up. very difficult to convince realistic people to spend $100 on a pound of tea, especially if they've never had it before. very under paid for the expected amount of work. the 'sales process' that was created is overly pushy rude and makes the employees look like a joke.

    Advice to Management

area managers need to be more involved with their stores. and make sure they select the right successors. management is key if you cannot handle an area you are by no means qualified for the title. communication is also key.
