I have been working at Tektronix full-time (More than 8 years)

Pros

Now that they've acquired Sypris and Davis Calibration there are multiple locations across the company.

Cons

They want to work their employees to death with mediocre pay. More importantly, they have unrealistic expectations for their goals, and they are unwilling to spend the money to equip their personnel to get the job done.

Advice to Management

Listen to your employees, no one knows the job better than they do!

    I have been working at Tektronix full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    Company is always looking for ways to improve and will embrace good ideas to try. The Danaher Business Systems (DBS) is a system that will allow individuals to contribute ideas that can be implmented and tried...best saying is "Don't letter perfect get in the way of better".

    Cons

    - Continuous cost reduction leads to good people getting let go and "brain trust" of the company leaving. Many people don't like the current President Amir.
    - Extremely aggressive targets for sale people make it hard to make quota
    - Lack of investment in R&D has led to a portfolio that is making it more and more difficult to win against the competitors
    - Appears they are putting all their energy into acquiring companies instead of organic investment (ie. RF products)
    - President doesn't care if sales people leave for another company, believes we will replace them with someone making less money.

    Advice to Management

    Change the President to a person people want to follow..real change occurs from the top.
