A not so bad starting job as a fresher. Get opportunities to deal with practical devices like switch, Mux. See the seniors working on Mux, Core management and Soft switches very closely. Get in touch of office environment.
Cons
The main work is monitoring. By only monitoring the development become slow. Try to learn core networks work to develop. No structure, you have to be working as a noc engineer even after 2-3 tears.
