I have been working at Telecom Brokerage full-time (Less than a year)

Pros

I am coming up on my 1 year mark and I'm impressed with what I've experienced since starting in February. My team leader is always providing coaching and feedback on my calls. Not only has it made me a better sales rep, but I've seen my commissions grow as well. The team I'm on has doubled in size and I see other teams growing as well. TBI has the formula for success and they are great in teaching new hires the ropes. There are always new Account Managers starting and very few leaving. I've made some new friends here this past year and I'm glad we are all still working together. I'm excited for my 401k (with match!) to kick in and look forward to making even more commissions this year. The random breakfasts and lunches are cool too. There is also a trip to Jamaica that some reps get to go on. I don't know everyone going but they did announce a good amount of names at the Christmas party. That's an awesome award!

Cons

Cold calling is hard work. You need to be focused, energetic, and enthusiastic at all times or you will miss out on opportunities. It's tough to do Monday-Friday from 8-5. If you don't send enough quality proposals out, you won't have sales and you won't earn commissions.

Reviews can get be tedious, especially when you want to be on the phones looking for new proposals to send.

Some reps just don't look like they want to be here.

Advice to Management

Make reviews shorter and more effective. You have a lot to cover but after 30 minutes they tend to lose focus.

Get rid of the reps that look like they don't want to work here. They drag others down with their negativity.

    I have been working at Telecom Brokerage full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Management is effective at not micromanaging which allows employees to work as they adults they are to accomplish what needs to be done individually and collaboratively.

    Cons

    I honestly can't think of a con that isn't a normal part of the work experience. No job is perfect or will always flow easily, and the typical annoyances in the workplace are somehow less bothersome here. I really can't say anything negative.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the great work!

    For me there wasnt any cons....i left for personal reasons.
