    I have been working at Tellabs full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    - Challenging work
    - Good Coworkers
    - Good HR
    - Good Employee Benefits

    Cons

    Board of Directors and CEO clearly lacks Vision. As we can see, they have cut down on all Next Gen Products and their current products are almost End of Life. They don't have adequate money to buy any company to sustain there business. So in another 3 to 6 months, Tellabs Operations will be SHUT DOWN..Mark my words. !

    Advice to Management

    Please stop the same rhetoric (like Macro economic conditions) on every year layoff's, and start focusing on working Next Gen products if you are planning to sustain. Believe the board of directors should be completely changed and CEO Dan kelly should be Fired !!!!

    I worked at Tellabs full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Great Team. Smart engineers. Some of the most talented individuals that I have had the experience of working with. From a compensation perspective, Tellabs was amazing and above market. Benifits were great, 401k matching, best in class health.

    Cons

    Process is very rigid and a very all school feel to it. Complete end to end waterfall that we very slow to move, and wasted a lot of time. Difficult to advance quickly or hire the right people as HR had some very rigid criteria a candidate had to meed before one would even apply for a given position.
