I have been working at Temple University full-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

Less stressful than my former "corporate" job. My co-workers are great. The benefits are really good. Schedules can be flexible on occasion if needed.

Cons

Salaries are not as high as the for profit world (but the benefits are outstanding). They charge employees to park in the university owned lots & garages.

    Pros

Great pay. People are decent and easy to get along with

    Cons

A lot of the promotions are based on who you know rather than ability, in some departments.

    No opinion of CEO

I have been working at Temple University full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Friendly staff, good colleagues, good benefits if you work full time.

    Cons

Too much work, no over time. No equal distribution of work. No performance based bonuses or raises. Unexpected lay offs and short notices, incompetent management

    Advice to Management

If you are expecting professional development surveys to be completed, make use of them or stop wasting everyone's time. I had above average or exceeds expectations ratings fr each year but no bonus or incentive. Why should I be working hard if underperforming staff get paid the same for doing half the work just because they have been there longer.
