Disapproves of CEO

Pros

Cool products with rich history and chance to really capitalize on global infrastructure growth especially as demand stays strong in those markets

Cons

Unable to integrate into an operating company and do not hold employees and leaders accountable for dismal results. Steady state of denial and delusion permeate the organization

Advice to Management

Start holding themselves and their team members accountable for current state of affairs and if they cannot change than replace with people that will make the hard decisions

    Approves of CEO

    Pros

hourly lunches, safety and cleanliness are priorities, tuition reimbursement program, casual dress code, competitive salary, company caters lunches every few months, five minute lenience policy for clocking in past your start time

    Cons

Promotions within the company are basically non-existent. I've watched many qualified co-workers apply for promotions only to be told that Mgmt decided to hire someone from outside the company.

Communication within depts is severly lacking.

Some managers have been in their jobs for years and still don't know half of what their staff does or even have the knowledge themselves to be able to make managerial decisions.

Vacation time is lacking. Before you get four weeks vacation, you have to have been with the company for about 10 yrs.

    Advice to Management

There is no one that knows the company better than an internal team member, so internal team members should be promoted before hiring outside.

Managers should consult team members for their input/suggestions before making decisions that effect the entire dept.

Award employees by offering additional vacation days for great work/projects done or customer praise.
