Pros

Pros- lots of time off--state holidays. Do not require overtime as it's not in the state budget. Very slow paced.

Cons

Terrible management with no experience in business. Bully and threatening management style.

Advice to Management

I worked at Texas Department of Insurance full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Friendly previous managers/supervisors. Very lenient, laid back environment.

    Cons

Not a diverse agency, hard to get approval for training opportunities, co-workers in certain departments unprofessional and immature. Inconsistent with procedures. System was crappy and freeze up like 5 times per day and you have to shut down and reboot, very time consuming.

    Advice to Management

Approve training opportunities for employees, make sure your department is free from bad/down talk, gossipping.
