        Pros

It is not too stressful and you get to work with others and independently. It’s the best of both worlds.

        Cons

There are not too many satellite offices.

          Pros

Great benefits with health insurance and retirement. Plenty of PTO and flexibility to request off work. The pay is stable - state employees just received two raises this year. Many opportunities for advancement or if you want to pursue a different role in the department. The new downtown building is beautiful and clean; your workspace is private and quiet. I loved the amenities (cafe and parking garage).

          Cons

The work is really a non-stop grind. You have to push yourself to meet expectations, even if there are obstacles (ex. Less team members, the system was down, etc.) You are still expected to meet the same goals no matter what. Although I was not asked to, I had to work through my breaks and sometimes off the clock to meet these goals and not be written up. Despite my pleas, I would frequently be assigned more and more work to the point not even an automaton could complete it - like being beyond humanly possible to finish on time. There is a huge disconnect between your team and upper management. They often pass down unrealistic goals and do not seem to understand the actual nature of what the work entails.

Any genuinely good way to answer the "biggest weakness" question without sounding like a cliche. Anyone have any good examples?

I interview with this place about a week and a half ago. I think it went well and in the interview she said the next step would be a writing example, so I did that. Sent it to them the day it was due and haven't heard back since. She did say any next steps would be after thanksgiving since everyone was busy and their calendars full last week. I followed up on Monday with an email, but haven't heard back. Maybe it's taking awhile or should I try again end of week? I would at least like feedback.

I was promised a decision made by mid last week. I followed up on Thursday last week and got a response the update is now followed up with the hiring manager and their director and expect hear back by middle of next week. What should I be expecting if it’s delayed on promised update timeline from the hiring manager interview?
