I have been working at Texas Health Resources full-time (More than 5 years)

Pros

Benefits are good, but bonuses are dependent on clinical staff.

Cons

Us vs. them mentality. Upper management is one big clique.

Advice to Management

Drop all the fake disingenuous fluff. Cut salaries of executives and pay the people who are actually on the front lines, doing the real work.

    Pros

Pay is good but that's not always the better choice.

    Cons

Managers and upper staff have no idea what is going on and don't really care to know but are happy when they get their bonuses for the hard work that they did not actually have part of.

    Advice to Management

Stop giving a bonus to the managers that are not even involved in the direct Pt care. Give it to the staff that are actually making a difference.

    Pros

Faith based. Strong system in the public eye.

    Cons

Management issues with a huge lack of communication & consideration for their employees. You get overloaded with more & more work, yet get reprimanded for overtime. Also, if you're even one min. late for work due to traffic issues you're written up. No flexibility or autonomy for employees, like mentioned, you're just a number here.

    Advice to Management

Leadership classes, model the promise values and show caring and honesty for your workers in the trenches. Happy employees equals happy patients equals high patient satisfaction scores.
