I worked at Texas Instruments full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

    - Located in Texas where housing is cheap and no state income taxes makes an average salary go a long way
    - Good benefits
    - Family friendly atmosphere, everyone leaves at 5.30!

    Cons

    - No career growth if you are an engineer
    - Very little scope to switch careers, get slotted in a role and continue forever
    - No urgency to innovate

    Advice to Management

Look back at the history of TI in wireless and learn some lessons from the debacle of losing big customers and market share

    Pros

Best possible compensation. Great engagement with the team and mentoring. Excellent work-life balance. Highly intellectual team mates to interact with.

    Cons

Insulated team culture. Suffers from lack of greater visibility for an invdividual of large corporate.
