I worked at Texas Instruments full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Great benefits
    Some good ideas
    Diverse product portfolio
Very fair work/life balance for the most part

    Cons

    Some clearly misguided market attempts
Some managers clearly rose through the ranks through brown-nosing and not competence
Training can be harder to come by than in similar companies
Can be a bit stodgy when it comes to seizing new markets and innovation

    Advice to Management

Clear out the chaff. If someone isn't an innovator and merely exists to play politics, they are an anchor dragging down your company.
