I worked at Texas Instruments full-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

Excellent work environment, nice co-workers and co-operative culture, company is also very family friendly with good work-life balance.

Cons

TI made several strategic decisions in the last 6~7 years, it is no longer interested in developing the leading edge semiconductor manufacturing technologies and it is no longer a major player in the mobile processor market.

    Pros

    Excellent people and work environment.

    Cons

Semiconductor industry as a whole is more cyclical than most fields. So lay offs are common. But TI goes out of their way to keep their people.
