I have been working at Texas Instruments (More than a year)

Pros

There is opportunity for travel and you can easily see how your work impacts the bottom line. It is a sales/revenue focused company.

Cons

It is a sales/revenue focused company through and through. Almost all of upper management is from sales and they won't spare much in the way of "nice to haves" for employees. This is no Google; everything centers around increasing profit/revenue. Everything.

Advice to Management

Don't stress so much about increasing the company's profits and instead focus on making employees happy. You will reduce turnover and increase profits in the long run.

I have been working at Texas Instruments full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Great people, benefits, work environment -- when far from corporate headquarters in Dallas.

    Cons

TI Business planning is mostly tactical with little long term strategic planning. PFO is more important than technology.

    Advice to Management

Make a plan and stick to it for more than a year
