Pros

Great benefits, never boring, bosses let you do your job with a large degree of independence.

Cons

Upper management sometimes out of touch, reluctant to settle conflicts, conflicts created by conflicting goals. Examples, build something quickly, but spend no time or money on it, but get it delivered. Satisfy customers, but cut costs from current level by spending less time on customer satisfaction. Handle more business, but with fewer people.

Advice to Management

Tell everyone what the priority is, instead of making people wrong no matter what the result

    Pros

Good benefit package with generous vacation time (4 weeks - inherited the French). Good bonus amount in place of lower than average salary. There're some real talented people working here.

    Cons

Lots of politcal games. Despite being in the business for a long time, their software department was never matured nor organized. They focus a lot of on empty processes. Directors were being rotated constantly. The current one is really bad and caused a lot of people leaving. Abusive management never got let go. There's also a constant struggle between local software group and the counterpart from parent company in France.

    Advice to Management

It's still an engineering company after all. So hire more engineers instead of managers. Everyone is some sort of manager here, so who's left to do the real work? Clean up the corrupted management structure so that engineers can do their job.

    Pros

they had a pretty good personal and work life balance environment. they seemed to have a focus on operational efficiency

    Cons

they appeared more focused on sales and not technology for their own operations, from an IT perspective. Dark office environment

    Advice to Management

focus more on operational efficiency by upgrading technology. Use standardized documentation that people are actually trained in, as opposed to foreign apps.
