    No opinion of CEO

I have been working at The Babcock & Wilcox Company full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Great hourly wages while it lasts(425-30/hr) for floor employees, but in the long run you would be much better off working for $5 or even $10 less per hour at a stable employer. Benefits appear great but a recent lifetime cap on benefits of $130k has left many employees without benefits after one bout with a serious illness like cancer.

    Cons

Constant layoffs due to outsourcing, politics and union busting tactics. Favouritism and harassment run rampant on shop floor and are endorsed and promoted by shop management, although of course HR advertises "equal opportunity/harassment free". They will also tell you in your interview they can offer you 10 years worth of work, just the first of many many lies. They have promised that and handed out layoff notices to employees on their first day of work.

    Advice to Management

Come out to the shop floor, you will be horrified.
