I have been working at The Body Shop full-time (More than 10 years)

Pros

Benefits and long service awards are excellent. Training and development at a store level is also very good.

Cons

Some upper management expect too much. Communication can sometime leave a little to be desired. Lone trading becoming much more common.

Advice to Management

Be aware that your employees do have a life outside of work.

    Pros

    Values driven. Genuinely involved in helping the less fortunate.

    Cons

    Top management doesn't understand the ground. Top heavy structure with over stretched bottom operations people. Poor processes without clear accountabilities.

    Advice to Management

    Stop adding layers to the senior management and start investing in your people. Admit current processes are useless and move on.
