I have been working at The Bristal Assisted Living full-time (Less than a year)

Pros

met a few nice people that didnt last very long due to other job oppurtunities.

Cons

low pay, benefits take most your pay, supervisors dont follow the rules set forth by management, HR department agrees with what ever supervisor says its a dead end job also they hire mostly jamaicans..

Advice to Management

work pay and benefits need to be fair for the job your doing and train your administration staff to follow the rules and regulations, white plains ny just opened up and employees are coming and going like a revolving door with all the money your charging the tenants families who reside there i cant see why theres such a low pay...

I worked at The Bristal Assisted Living full-time

    Pros

Beautiful, clean environment. Free lunch, little bonuses like for spring or the beginning of school, christmas.

    Cons

If you have a supervisors that decides she has favorites and gets those favorites to do part of her job and you are not part of those favorites it is not good for you. If you have a boss who did not lead by exammple like being on her cell phone all day and allowing others like her favorites to be on theres or turning a blind eye. Laughing in her office all day and ordering food saying how she is locking herself in her office to get work done. Not holding staff accountable for not doing there job like toileting and showering residents and counting on another shift to pick up the slack because she knows they care. The biggest complaint is being a loyal employee and never randomly calling out always reliable but not granted your vacation days off even though you put it in the time off request book in advance and tells you how you can't have the time off because she is taking the day off and you are not a boss. Now you have alot of things building up bothering you and you leave after being a loyal employee and they won't pay you for your vacation time that you never used. And some much more to say.... Good luck

    Advice to Management

Acknowledge and compliment good, honest, trustworthy, hardworking employees more and pay attention when thise good employees are walking off the job. There has to be a reason for it.
