I have been working at The Hershey Company full-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

Excellent benefits, company culture, great work life balance, excellent senior leadership. As a Retail Sales Rep you are responsible for your own territory. There are endless opportunities within your territory, it's up to you how creative you are and how much you want to excel at your job. Additional benefits include company car and ipad.

Cons

Driving about 400 miles/week. Career opportunities have gotten much more competitive in previous years making it harder to get noticed. There is really only one position most RSR's can move forward to if you were hired directly out of college. Maybe in the future that will change.

    Cons

-Locations for job opportunities are disappointing
-Bonus structure is weak compared to others
-Management not willing to invest in training / employee development
-Lack of real process change management leads to processes in constant states of flux
-Communicated organizational mission and senior leadership decision making is not aligned
-No accountability / ownership means failure can occur with no lessons learned
-C-Tier talent level with almost no high performers

    Advice to Management

    -Accountability is nonexistent.
-All systems are not in place to drive change, and those systems that are in place are not adhered to.
-Recruit better talent or invest much more in adding capability to the existing workforce.
