I worked at The Home Depot full-time (More than a year)

Pros

Flexibility in managing your department. Opportunity to advance within the store. Excellant training.
Availability of store management to resolve customer issues quickly.

Cons

Low pay. No weekends off. You have to be available 24/7. Once you've reach the level of Department Manager hard to get promoted to a higher level.

Advice to Management

I'm not posting anything because they won't listen anyway.

    Pros

Lots of interaction with all types of people from varied walks of life. Everyday is different and challenging in its own way. The days go quick, even when you're working 12-14 hour days.

    Cons

As an ASM, you will work long hours. Most shifts are 10-14 hours, 5-6 days a week and it's difficult to get time off.

Make sure you pick the right store to work at. Every one is different. Talk to store mgmt before accepting any position. Know their business and profitability.
