I have been working at The Home Depot part-time

    Pros

Friendly and helpful staff, great benefits (including profit sharing for everyone who has been there at least one quarter), lots of excellent/free training

    Cons

At my store, the major downside is the scheduling. Some people get split days off or work 7-10 days straight.

    Advice to Management

Discuss an action plan with the scheduler.

I have been working at The Home Depot full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The benefits are decent, the management is (mostly) friendly and understandable, scope of work is not too difficult for the pay.

    Cons

Scheduling - both your own schedule and those of your co-workers will drive you nuts. Such is to be expected from retail, but its one of the biggest reasons I'm looking for another job.

    Advice to Management

Try to give full timers a slightly more regular schedule, or at least allow us to choose a small amount of unavailability. Having completely open availability makes having a life outside of work difficult.
