I have been working at The Home Depot part-time (Less than a year)

Pros

Great opportunity to earn bonuses in many positions. Training contantly takes place at any position within the company.

Cons

Trying to figure out the career path that is perfect fit for your skills. The company sometimes places you in postions that a person may not want in the begining, but its all about paying your dues.

I worked at The Home Depot part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

When you open there's not much to do early in the morning because it's slow. BIAs don't have supervisors.

    Cons

Working with other people who don't take responsibility for their job. As a recent college grad, I was very disappointed to see grown men and women as lazy as they were. They would always try and put things on the BIAs instead of doing their jobs. I definitely see why they are working an hourly job in their 40s and 50s. Thank God I was only here in between undergrad and grad school.

As a BIA, there's no chance to move up or receive any positive recognition.

    Advice to Management

Learn how to distinguish between employees who do their job and those who don't
