Pros

If you want to further your education, and improve your earning ability, Home Depot has all of the tools in place to help you to succeed. Cross training in different departments will increase your value and is helpful to have under your belt when you are looking for a promotion.

Cons

Sometimes the work schedules can change and are not always fixed, which some people may find challenging.

Advice to Management

Keep up the good work and promoting from within. There are always postings for upwardly mobile positions. Keep encouraging your team to take additional computer based training courses and to get certified in other departments as well.

I have been working at The Home Depot full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Its a job and for the most part the fellow associates are nice

    Cons

Dependiing on who is your store mgr. and asm's, you may be harassed on a daily basis and no one seems to care. The mgmt. tells you things that don't seem to happen. Again, we are just warm bodies not people. If we were people and they cared how things were going, they would hire people with brains and promote the people who have the brains in the first place.

    Advice to Management

Management doesn't seem to care so I have no advice for them.
