I have been working at The Home Depot part-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

The pay is better than most places, the employees are like a family and you can learn a lot of new skills

Cons

They are very unorganized on the upper tiers of management, they listen to the employees butt raerly make the changes needed to make it run smoother, they put in the departments that you know the least about.

Advice to Management

more communication with one another and placement where its most helpful to the customers

I have been working at The Home Depot part-time

    Pros

Not difficult to preform expected tasks and exceed expectations. Easy to work at your own pace and do your own thing without management performing micromanagement.

    Cons

It's hard to have career growth because there isn't any records of daily progress and performance. All the raises and promotions/department transfers are based on favoritism.

I have been working at The Home Depot part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The co workers are mostly great. There seems to be a spirit of making the best of things and most people seem encouraging and genuine.

    Cons

Some departments demand a great deal of physical exertion so be prepared. The scheduling is automated and your hours will be all over the place unless you become full time.

    Advice to Management

Practice team building skills. (most do). Insure promotions are based on the quality of work people do.
