    Approves of CEO

I worked at The Mosaic Company full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The benefits are great, the CEO cares about the employees. The company is looking like they are on the upswing, so there is optimism and feeling of job security there.

    Cons

Because the company used to be owned by Cargill, they had the luxuries of their systems and experience. Once separated, Mosaic was like a child who just got their training wheels taken off, shaky. There are many inefficiencies and kinks to work out. The HR department is lagging, IT is trying new systems. The lack of efficiencies/structure is also an opportunity for certain people. The company is conservative and not as adapted to the new millennials.

    Advice to Management

There is an energy at Mosaic that everyone needs to be busy. Remember that busy does not necessarily mean productive or that it is contributing to the overall strategic goal. It would also be good to recruit younger professionals/interns to the company, the workforce is starting to age and people in their early/mid 30s are the babies of the corporate headquarters.

    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

    Small, able to advance
    Easy access to upper management
Able to work at multiple sites without moving
Could easily be a lifelong employer

    Cons

Phosphate is not a famous industry - harder to transfer skills b/c many are unfamiliar w/ the industry
Not many other places within central FL for ChemE's to work... if you don't like it, you'll need to move
Production isn't for everyone, yet it's seen as a badge of honor & hard to advance without it

    Advice to Management

Continue to hire college grads... those that are holding on now WILL retire eventually
Offer more training to employees, such as CEM
